Description Tour:

We have designed this walking so that it can be done as an excursion 1,2 and 3 days.  This Mountain since Inca times has been a place of worship and offerings to the gods hidden. Today nothing has changed local people continues to cultivate this tradition and continues believing that mountains are gods. However it is hard not to be struck by the beauty that nature gives us ..
On this walk you will see native peoples coexist harmoniously with herds of llamas and alpacas, eventually you will see with astonishment the wonderful Ausangate (6,385 m / 20,945 ft), highly recommended for adventurers who love the mountains.

Day 1: Cusco – Urcos – Quesiuno – Llamachimpana.:

Services Options

   (1) About of the aditional Horse:
–   Aditional Horses  can be hired to help carry your personal items such as clothes, sleeping bag etc. They can be hired for $100 for all 2 days and will carry up to a maximum of 25kg (usually 1 horse between 2 persons is more than sufficient). You can hire the services of a half a horse to carry up to 12kg for US$50. However, even with a personal horse, you will still need to bring a day small pack for essential items.

   (2) About Full Day Machu Picchu:
–   You can make an extension and visit Machu Picchu with all services included

   (3) About Sleeping Bag:
–  Sleeping bag hire . If you haven’t got a sleeping bag or you don’t want the hassle of bringing one all the way to Peru with you then we have sleeping bags in our office for rent. The price is US$5 per person per day.

  (4) About Vegetarian Meals:
–  Vegetarian Meals. We can provide vegetarian meals or cater for special diets with no extra cost. Just let us know at least 2 days prior to trek departure.

⇒  Other Information:
(*) Luggage storage. When you go on the trek it is best to leave any luggage that you are not going to need behind in Cusco. Nearly all the hotels in Cusco provide a secure luggage deposit. Put any valuables in their safe. Very rarely do hotels charge for this service especially if you are returning to the same hotel after the trek. If there are any problems with your hotel we can arrange to store your luggage at our office.

    You should wear clothes that absorb moisture from your skin while keeping the rain from getting wet. It should also be dressed with a base coat, insulation and shell.

Day 1: Cusco – Urcos – Quesiuno – Llamachimpana.

We will pick you up early from your Cusco hotel and set out on a drive through the South Valley. The drive to the trailhead at Quesiuno (4,326 m / 14,189 ft) is 3 hours long. Once we reach the Inkintuyoc bridge, our chef will cook us an amazing breakfast. After breakfast, we will load all the gear on the horses and begin our hike uphill. Following a lovely stream, you will be immediately surprised by the literally herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have consistent views of the Ausangate Mountain. We will hike through villages and interact with the local residents. We have the opportunity to see chinchillas and vicunas. Vicunas are the only non-domesticated animal of the llama family in Peru. After at hike of 3 to 4 hours, we will reach our camp Ccayrabiri, near the village of Llamachimpana. Our chef will make us a fantastic lunch when we arrive. After lunch (time permitting), we will go to the village and have the chance to interact with the residents. They will tell us about their local customs and love to share their history with trekkers. They will tell us about the fields of potatoes that surround the area. We then return to camp where we will have happy hour and dinner. When night falls, we will have a serene night´s sleep under the stars. Included *lunch And dinner .

Day 2: Llamachimpana – Vinicunca – Quesiuno – Cusco

 We wake up to a cup of hot coca tea and the gorgeous sunrise. Our chef will prepare an amazing breakfast to start the day. Our destination today is the Rainbow Mountain. This is a two hour uphill hike.

On the way up, we will have consistent views of stunning red mountains, the Ausangate glacier and Surine Mountain. Finally, we reach our destination, what we came to see….the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). After getting over the shock of their beauty, we will have time to explore the area. We will have time to take pictures and soak in the environment. We will spend approximately 30 minutes at the top. At this point, it is time to go back down. We hike downhill the way we came. The hike will take 4 to 5 hours. Our chef will be waiting for us at the bottom with a hearty lunch. Following lunch, we will embark on the 3 hour drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your Cusco hotel.
