The day starts with an early morning transfer to the train station for the journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. Arrive at Aguas Calientes and upon arrival, you will participate in a guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Plaza, the Temple of the Sun, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Tomb and the Temple of the three windows. After the tour you’ll have time for a walk in around, explore and take more pictures. Late afternoon return to Cusco. Transfer to your hotel.

Full Itinerary

Early pick you up at the hotel where you are staying to take him to the train station located in the village of Poroy or in the station located in the town of Ollantaytambo (This depends on the service you chose train). Trains Compare. then board the train company or service chosen and begin the journey to the town of "Aguas Calientes" the closest town to the citadel of Machu Picchu (2000 m).

Approximate travel time: "Starting from the Poroy station  (Cusco) .. 04 Hours aprx. "Starting from Ollantaytambo station .. 02 Hours aprx. Arriving at the station of Aguas Calientes your guide will help to address the bus up to Machu Picchu to themselves and with the entrance tickets to the citadel of Machu Picchu, after a little talk with the group information (if not is a private service) we will board a bus for 25 minutes and after touring breathtaking, winding jungle paths reach the access point of the famous citadel. It is time to deliver identification and entrance tickets to begin with enthusiasm our expedition with our expert (2 hours) long enough to recognize the main points and then give us some free time to visit the place on our own. (We will use this free time for photos, meditation, admiration and everything that comes to mind). After this fascinating visit, we will take a break for food and you should know that there are two options to take our food. Option 01 - Lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge Hotel (located at the gateway to the citadel) worth although quite expensive. Option 02 - Lunch at Aguas Calientes (More options and price range, it is also a good idea) In the afternoon we take the train back to Cusco (The guide will tell you more details about schedules and services), the return will follow the same path with the difference that our thoughts will be different and perhaps the desire to recommend this route to their loved ones. Our service ends with the transfer to the hotel in Cusco. Optional (Reserve Santuray Lunch at the Lodge Hotel USD$: 40) *Aguas Calientes .- Aguas Calientes (Spanish for "hot water" or "hot springs"), sometimes referred to as Machupicchu Town, is a town in Cusco on the Urubamba River. It is the closest access point to the historical site of Machu Picchu, which is 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) away or about a 1.5 hours walk. Aguas Calientes serves as a terminal for the  train service from Cusco.
